Geathers, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Colts back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $3.126 million rookie contract and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the final two years of the agreement.
In 2016, Geathers appeared in nine games and recorded 59 tackles, on interceptions, a forced fumble, and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 26 safety out of 90 qualifying players last year.
Perry, 23, is a former fourth-round pick of the Chargers back in 2016. He signed a four-year, $2.95 million contract with the Chargers and stands to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the next two years of the contract.
The Chargers waived Perry with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to their injured reserve list. Los Angeles cut him loose soon after.
Perry signed on to the Colts’ practice squad a few weeks into the regular season and promoted to the active roster last month.
In 2017, Perry has appeared in two games but has yet to record a statistic.
