Colts Activating Rookie DE Tyquan Lewis From Injured Reserve

On Friday, Colts HC Frank Reich announced that they’re activating rookie DE Tyquan Lewis from injured reserve and will have him available for Sunday’s game.

The Colts designated Lewis to return from injured reserve a few weeks ago, so they had to make a move soon or he was going to revert back to I.R. and miss the remainder of the season.

Lewis, 23, was selected by the Colts in the second round of this year’s draft after they traded up to get him. He agreed a four-year, contract worth $4,366,054, which includes a $1,255,312 signing bonus.

During his college career at Ohio State, Lewis recorded 112 tackles, 37 tackles for a loss, 23.5 sacks, five pass defenses and five forced fumbles.
