Colts Claim CB D.J. White Off Waivers, Waive C Dillion Day

The Indianapolis Colts announced Monday that they’ve claimed CB D.J. White off waivers from the Chiefs and waived C Dillon Day.

  • The Colts also signed CB Denzel Rice to their practice squad and released CB Channing Stribling from the unit.

The Colts’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. QB Phillip Walker
  2. NT Joey Mbu
  3. G Ian Silberman
  4. WR Matt Hazel
  5. TE Mo Alie-Cox
  6. WR K.J. Brent
  7. DB Ronald Martin
  8. LB Vontarrius Dora
  9. TE Jason Vander Laan
  10. CB Denzel Rice

White, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.52 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

The Chiefs waived him last week.

In 2016, White appeared in 11 games for the Chiefs and recorded 11 tackles, one interception, and three pass defenses.
