Colts Claim RB Dan Herron Off Waivers From Bills, Cut RB Zurlon Tipton

The Indianapolis Colts announced that they’ve claimed RB Dan Herron off waivers and waived RB Zurlon Tipton.

This is a clear indication that Frank Gore could miss some time with knee and quad injuries.

Herron, 26, signed his exclusive rights tender from the Colts back in April worth $660,000. However, the Colts waived him from injured reserve with a settlement at the start of the season.

Herron was cut loose by the Bills on Wednesday.

In 2014, Herron appeared in all 16 games for the Colts and ran for 351 yards on 78 carries (4.5 YPC) to go along with 21 receptions and 173 yards receiving and a touchdown.
