Art Stapleton reports that the Colts are expected to sign veteran RB Ahmad Bradshaw at some point today.

  • Mike Garafolo has confirmed that Bradshaw is likely to re-sign with Indianapolis.

The Colts have been expected to re-sign Bradshaw to a contract since they hosted him for a visit last week, but it appears as though they wanted to wait until now before adding him to their active roster.

Bradshaw, 29, didn’t find any reported interest this offseason and is coming off of a season in which he sustained a broken leg.

Bradshaw has been hampered by injuries over the course of his career, but he has also been a pretty effective running back when healthy.

Last year, Bradshaw appeared in 10 games for the Colts and ran for 425 yards on 90 carries (4.7 YPC) to go along with 38 receptions for 300 yards receiving and eight total touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 11 running back out of 57 qualifying players.
