Colts Have Expressed Interest In Veteran RB Ahmad Bradshaw

Rand Getlin of NFL Media reports that the Colts have expressed interest in free agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw, who has served his one-game suspension.

  • However, no deal between the parties is considered imminent at this point in time, according to Getlin.

Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star reported last night the Colts had “some interest” in Bradshaw now that he’s healthy.

The Colts waived/injured RB Vick Ballard on Tuesday, which leaves them thin at running back in terms of depth.

Bradshaw has been hampered by injuries over the course of his career, but he has also been a pretty effective running back when healthy.

Bradshaw, 29, didn’t find any reported interest this offseason and is coming off of a season in which he sustained a broken leg.

Last year, Bradshaw appeared in 10 games for the Colts and ran for 425 yards on 90 carries (4.7 YPC) to go along with 38 receptions for 300 yards receiving and eight total touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 11 running back out of 57 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding the Cotls and Bradshaw as the news is available.
