Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano Diagnosed With Leukemia

Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star reports that Colts head coach Chuck Pagano has been diagnosed with leukemia and will be out indefinitely.

Pagano, 52, was recently dealing with some fatigue that last for a few weeks, but didn’t go to the doctor to have it checked out until he noticed random bruises. The form of leukemia that he has is believed to be treatable.

Pagano reportedly picked offensive coordinator Bruce Arians to take over as the team’s interim head coach. The players were informed of Pagano’s condition this morning.

Colts owner Jim Irsay said that “it’s very unlikely that he will be all-in as a head coach this season,” per Clifton Brown.
