Colts Hire Former Dolphins HC Joe Philbin As OL Coach

The Indianapolis Colts announced that they’ve hired former Dolphins HC Joe Philbin as their new offensive line coach.

Recent reports indicated that the Giants could hire Philbin as an assistant head coach. However, new HC Ben McAdoo told reporters on Friday that nothing was agreed to with Philbin.

Philbin, 54, was with the Packers eight years before he departed to become the Dolphins head coach in 2012. During his three-plus years in Miami, Phlibin led the Dolphins to a record of 24-28 (46.2 percent) and was never able to produce a winning record.

The Dolphins elected to fire Philbin mid-season and promote Dan Campbell to interim head coach.
