Colts Hosted LB Jayrone Elliott For Visit, Worked Out 5 Players

According to Howard Balzer, the Colts brought in five free agents for workouts on Monday and hosted LB Jayrone Elliott for a visit.

The list of workouts includes:

  1. TE Evan Baylis
  2. LB Richie Brown
  3. LB Austin Calitro
  4. WR Kolby Listenbee
  5. WR Jordan Williams

Elliott, 25, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out Toledo back in 2014. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1,535,000 rookie contract with the Packers but did not receive a restricted offer from the team, which is why he’s been testing the open market.

Elliott re-signed with the Packers this offseason but was traded to the Cowboys at the start of the regular season for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2018. Dallas elected to cut Elliott loose after a few weeks.

In 2016, Elliott appeared in 11 games for the Packers and recorded 19 tackles and sack.

Baylis, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Texans cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.

The Texans promoted him to their active roster but elected to waive him.

During his college career, Bayless caught 44 passes for 511 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
