Colts Likely Landing Spot For CB Bashaud Breeland When Foot Is Fully Healed

According to Ian Rapoport, the likely landing spot for free agent CB Bashaud Breeland is the Colts once his foot injury is fully healed.

This comes shortly after the news that the Cardinals, who hosted Breeland on a visit Thursday, have traded for Browns CB Jamar Taylor.

Breeland visited with the Colts and Cardinals this week, but it looks like Indianapolis is the team to watch for him.

Breeland and the Panthers agreed to a three-year, $24 million deal that includes $11 million guaranteed and $9.5 million fully guaranteed. However, he later failed a physical due to a foot injury.

Breeland, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.706 million contract and made a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season.

Breeland is testing the free agent market for the first time in his NFL career.

In 2017, Breeland appeared in 14 games for the Redskins and recorded 48 tackles, one interception returned for a touchdown and 16 pass defenses. He also contributed 280 kick return yards. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 54 cornerback out of 120 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
