Colts Make Rob Chudzinski Offensive Coordinator On Permanent Basis

The Indianapolis Colts announced that they are making interim OC Rob Chudzinski their offensive coordinator on a permanent basis.

Chudzinski replaced Pep Hamilton and was forced to run the team’s offense with a number of backup quarterbacks including Matt Hasselbeck, Charlie Whitehurst and Josh Freeman.

Earlier in the year, when it looked there was almost no chance of Chuck Pagano returning in 2016, Chudzinski was mentioned as a potential internal candidate to takeover for Pagano in the event he was fired during the season.

Previous reports have said that Pagano actually preferred to hire Chudzinski as his offensive coordinator all along, but had Hamilton pushed on him by the front office.

Chudzinski previously coached the Browns for one season.
