Colts Place DB Frankie Williams On PUP After Clearing Waivers

The Indianapolis Colts officially placed DB Frankie Williams on injured reserve after passing through waivers unclaimed.

Williams, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue back in May. He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason last year but eventually signed on to their practice squad at the start of the season.

Williams was on and off of the Colts’ active roster throughout the year before he was waived with an injury designation on Monday.

In 2016, Williams appeared in three games and recorded one tackle and no interceptions.
