Colts Place DE Fili Moala Injured Reserve & Sign DE Gannon Conway

The Colts announced two roster moves Wednesday morning. Indianapolis has signed DE Gannon Conway and placed DE Fili Moala on season-ending injured reserve.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Moala has a partially torn ACL after he collided with a teammate in practice, and his knee buckled.
  • This is the same knee he injured back in 2012.

Moala, 28, was re-signed to a one-year contract worth $1.4 million back in March. He was a second round draft choice of the Colts back in 2009 and appeared in all 16 games for the Colts his past season. Moala totaled 19 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery, but was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury at the end of the season.

Conway signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State last month. However, he was waived just a few days later.

In college, he appeared in 30 games and recorded 51 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and two passes defensed.
