Colts Place DE Kendall Langford On I.R. & Promote CB Christopher Milton

The Indianapolis Colts announced on Saturday that they are placing DE Kendall Langford on injured reserve and are promoting CB Christopher Milton to fill his spot on the 53-man roster.

Langford, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2008. He spent four years in Miami and played three seasons for the Rams before signing a four-year, $17.2 million contract with the Colts back in 2015.

Langford stands to make base salaries of $3 million (2016), $4 million (2017) and $4.2 million (2018) over the remainder of the contract.

In 2016, Langford has appeared in seven games for the Colts and recorded 10 tackles, no sacks, a fumble recovery and two pass defences.

Milton, 24, joined the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech. He signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract and is set to earn a base salary of $450,000 this season.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.

During his four-year college career, Milton recorded 96 total tackles, three tackles-for-loss, five interceptions, and 12 pass defences.
