Colts Place OT Gosder Cherilus On I.R. & Sign G David Arkin

The Indianapolis Colts announced Wednesday that they placed OT Gosder Cherilus on season-ending injured reserve and signed G David Arkin from their practice squad.

  • The Colts also signed WR Kadron Boone to the practice squad.

Cherilus had been dealing with a shoulder injury the past few months. His 2014 season comes to an end with him appearing 14 games and playing a total 975 snaps.

Cherilus, 30, signed a five-year, $34.5 million contract that included $15.5 million guaranteed with the Colts in 2013. He still has another three years remaining on his contract and stands to make a base salary of $4 million for the 2015 season.

For what it’s worth, Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 70 offensive tackle out of 84 qualifying players.
