Colts Placing CB Pierre Desir On Injured Reserve

Colts HC Chuck Pagano announced Monday that CB Pierre Desir is headed to injured reserve with a muscle tear in his shoulder.

Desir, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Browns back in 2014. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $2.63 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $600,000 for the 2016 season.

The Browns waived him at the start of last season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Chargers. Desir finished out the season with the Seahawks and returned to Seattle on a future/reserve contract. However, he was once again cut loose at the start of the season and later claimed by the Colts.

In 2017, Desir appeared in nine games for the Colts and recorded 32 tackles, one interception and seven pass defenses for the Colts.
