Colts Placing DT Henry Anderson On Season-Ending I.R.

Adam Schefter reports that Colts DT Henry Anderson suffered a laryngeal fracture during Sunday’s game will undergo surgery on Friday. Indianapolis is placing him on the season-ending injured reserve.

Anderson, 26, was taken in the third round of the 2015 NFL draft. He is entering the third year of a four-year, $2,937,176 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $718,500 for the 2017 season.

Unfortunately, Anderson’s rookie season ended after he suffered an ACL tear and was subsequently placed on season-ending injured reserve. Last year, he was activated off the PUP list and appeared in 11 games for the Colts.

So far this season, Anderson has appeared in nine games and recorded 22 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble for the Colts’ defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 38 interior defender out of 117 qualifying players.
