The Indianapolis Colts announced that they’ve promoted CB Eric Patterson to the 53-man roster and waived/injured CB Sheldon Price.
- If Price ends up clearing waivers, he will revert to the Colts’ Injured Reserve list.
Indianapolis is dealing with a number of injuries at the cornerback position, and have already ruled out cornerbacks Darius Butler and Greg Toler for this weekend’s game.
Patterson, 22, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Ball State following this year’s NFL draft. However, he lasted just a month in New England before he was waived and later signed to the Colts’ practice squad.
This season, Patterson has appeared in one game and recorded two tackles for the Colts.
