Colts QB Andrew Luck “Good To Go” For Training Camp

Colts GM Chris Ballard told reporters on Friday that QB Andrew Luck is “good to go” and won’t start off on the PUP list.

“He’s gotta play, and he knows that,” Ballard said of Luck, per Geroge Bremer.

Bremer said that there will be more discussions about Luck, but there are still no guarantee he’ll play in the opener against Seattle yet.

Ballard reiterated that Luck will take the normal starting quarterback reps when he’s practicing at camp. Although, Ian Rapoport adds that Luck still won’t throw for seven days straight.

Luck has slowly progressed from the shoulder injury that cost him the entire 2017 season. However, it looks like things are trending in the right direction for him.

Luck, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Colts back in 2012. He’s currently in the second year of his six-year, $139.125 million contract that includes $87 million guaranteed and is set to make base salaries of $12 million and $9.125 million of $12 million over the next two year of the contract.

In 2016, Luck appeared in 15 games and thrown for 4,240 yards while completing 63.5 percent of his passes for 31 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 4 quarterback out of 36 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Luck as the news is available.
