Colts QB Brad Kaaya Reverts To IR After Clearing Waivers

The Indianapolis Colts officially placed QB Brad Kaaya on injured reserve Saturday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

Kaaya, 22, is a former fifth-round pick of the Lions back in 2017. Detroit elected to waive him coming out of the preseason and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Panthers.

Carolina elected to cut Kaaya loose towards the end of the season and he was once again claimed off of waivers, this time by the Lions. The Colts later signed him off of the Lions’ practice squad last December.

Kaaya was waived on Friday with an injury designation.

During his college career, Kaaya has thrown for 9,968 yards while completing 60.6 percent of his passes to go along with 69 touchdowns and 24 interceptions. He’s posted a passer rating of 146.2 during his three years at Miami.
