Colts QB Jacoby Brissett In Concussion Protocol

According to Gregg Doyle, Colts QB Jacoby Brissett developed concussion symptoms following Sunday’s game against the Steelers and is now in the concussion protocol.

As of now, the Colts have Scott Tolzien behind Brissett and Phillip Walker on their practice squad, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see them add a quarterback to their roster in the coming days.

Brissett, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Patriots back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $3.411 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $580,038 and $735,076 over the next two years.

The Patriots traded Brisset to the Colts coming out of the preseason in return for WR Phillip Dorsett.

Entering today’s game, Brissett had appeared in nine games and thrown for 1,950 yards while completing 61.1 percent of his passes to go along with seven touchdowns and four interceptions.

We’ll have more regarding Brissett as the news is available.
