Colts RB Vick Ballard Reverts To Injured Rerserve After Clearing Waivers

The Indianapolis Colts officially placed RB Vick Ballard on season-ending injured reserve on Wednesday after he cleared waivers, according to the NFL Transactions release.

Recent reports have said that the Colts have expressed some interest in veteran RB Ahmad Bradshaw, who is now healthy, so this could be something to keep an eye on in regards to the Colts’ running back position.

Ballard, 25, is in the final year of his four-year, $2.24 million rookie contract that included a $144,560 signing bonus. He’ll make a base salary of $660,000 this season.

Ballard has missed all but one game over the past two years, so there is obviously some serious question about his future in the NFL.

He’s currently dealing with an MCL injury.
