Colts Re-Sign RB Christine Michael

The Indianapolis Colts announced that they have re-signed RB Christine Michael.

Michael, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2013. Seattle decided to trade him to the Cowboys for a conditional seventh-round pick.

He was in the third year of his four-year, $3.374 million rookie contract when the Cowboys cut him. After clearing waivers, the Redskins signed him to their practice squad but wound up releasing him.

The Seahawks elected to bring Michael back in 2015 and he later returned to Seattle on a one-year, $765,000 contract. Unfortunately, the Seahawks cut him loose during the season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Packers.

Green Bay brought Michael back on a one-year contract that included $25,000 guaranteed only to cut him loose after the draft. The Colts signed Michael signed him to a one-year contract, but he was placed on injured reserve before the start of the preseason.

In 2016, Michael appeared in 15 games between the Seahawks and Packers and rushed for 583 yards on 148 carries (3.9 YPC) to go along with 22 receptions for 107 yards receiving and eight total touchdowns.
