Colts Re-Signing RB Robert Turbin To Two-Year Deal

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Colts are re-signing RB Robert Turbin to a two-year contract worth up to $4.1 million.

Turbin, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2012. He was waived by the Seahawks during the 2015 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Browns.

Turbin’s stay in Cleveland was short-lived, as the Browns wound up waiving him after jut a few months. The Cowboys later signed him to a contract and gave him the opportunity to finish out the year in Dallas.

Back in March of last year, Colts signed Turbin to a one-year, $760,000 contract.

In 2016, Turbin appeared in 15 games and ran for 164 yards on 47 carries (3.5 YPC) to go along with 26 receptions for 179 yards receiving and eight total touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 42 running back out of 62 qualifying players.
