Colts Request Permission To Interview Saints Asst. HC Dan Campbell

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media is reporting that the Colts have put in a request for an interview with Saints assistant head coach/TEs coach Dan Campbell for their head-coaching position.

The list of candidates for the Colts’ head-coaching job now includes:

  • Saints assistant HC/TEs coach Dan Campbell
  • Eagles OC Frank Reich
  • Chiefs special teams coordinator Dave Toub
  • Bills DC Leslie Frazier

Campbell reportedly interviewed for the Vikings’ offensive coordinator position.

Campbell, 41, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 1999. He played 11 seasons for the Giants, Cowboys, Lions and Saints.

Campbell began his coaching career with the Dolphins as an interim in 2010 and actually took over for Joe Philbin as the team’s interim head coach. The Saints hired him a year later as their assistant head coach/TEs coach.

We’ll have more regarding the Colts as the news is available.
