The Indianapolis Colts signed six players including DB Dezman Southward to future/reserve contracts on Tuesday.
The other players signed include: OT Piece Burton, G Ben Heenan, LB Edwin Jackson, G Kitt O’Brien, DB Dezman Southward, and WR Joshua Stangby.
Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.
Southward, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Falcons back in 2014. However, he lasted just over a year in Atlanta before he was cut and later signed by the Colts to their practice squad.
This season, Southward has appeared in three games and recorded one tackle for the Falcons.
