Colts Sign CB Chance Casey & G Will Corbin, Cut Josh Mitchell

The Indianapolis Colts announced Tuesday that they’ve signed free agent CB Chance Casey and undrafted free agent G Will Corbin to contracts.

  • The Colts also waived-injured CB Josh Mitchell, who will revert to the Colts Injured Reserve list in the event he clears waivers.

Casey, 24, originally signed with the Oakland Raiders after going undrafted out of Baylor back in 2013. He played in four games over the course of two seasons with the Raiders and recorded seven tackles and a pass defense.

The 49ers later signed Casey to their 49ers practice squad in September of 2014, but he would eventually return to the Raiders.

Corbin was among the players who worked out with the Colts on a tryout basis during their rookie mini-camp. He wound up going undrafted out of Appalachian State.

During his five years at Appalachian State, Corbin appeared in 35 total games. He actually began his college career as a defensive lineman before eventually transitioning to offensive line during his redshirt-freshman season.

  1. Appalachian State must play a hell of a schedule if Corbin played in 35 games before his redshirt freshman year was done.
