Colts Sign CB Channing Stribling, Waive/Injured S Michael Cirino

The Indianapolis Colts announced Tuesday that they’ve signed CB Channing Stribling to a contract and waived S Michael Cirino with an injury designation.

Should Cirino clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the Colts’ injured serve list.

Stribling, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan back in May of last year. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Browns cut him loose at the start of the season and later signed him to their practice squad.

Stribling had a brief stint with the Colts before signing on with the 49ers in November and returning to San Francisco this past January on a futures deal. Unfortunately, he was waived before the draft.

During his college career at Michigan, Stribling recorded 69 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, six interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown and 15 pass defenses over the course of 36.
