Colts Sign DT Ricky Lumpkin To A Futures Deal

The Indianapolis Colts officially signed DT Ricky Lumpkin to a future/reserve contract on Wednesday.

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.

Lumpkin, 27, originally signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Kentucky back in 2011. He last just over two years in Arizona before he was waived at the start of the 2013 season.

Lumpkin later caught on with the Raiders mid-season and has been on and off of their practice squad ever since.

He lasted appeared in an NFL game during the 2014 season when he recorded nine tackles and a sack for the Raiders.
