Colts Sign OL Jamon Meredith, Announce Several Other Moves

The Indianapolis Colts announced that they have signed former Buccaneers OL Jamon Meredith to their active roster on Tuesday.

  • OT Xavier Nixon on injured reserve with the designation to return.
  • RB Deji Karim was released form injured reserve with an injury settlement.
  • OT Tyler Hoover was released from the practice squad.
  • OT Reid Fragel was signed to the practice squad.

Meredith, 28, signed a two-year, $3 million contract back in March and was set to make $1.05 million for the 2014 season before the Buccaneers released this past weekend. Meredith was competing for playing time with Oniel Cousins and Patrick Omameh, but Tampa Bay elected to move on.

The Colts could really use some offensive line depth, so we’ll have to see what kind of role Meredith is able to carve out once he’s acclimated to their system.
