Colts Sign OT John Wetzel To Practice Squad

The Indianapolis Colts announced Tuesday that they’ve signed OT John Wetzel to their practice squad.

The Colts’ practice squad is currently at 10 players, so they’ll need to make a move. Before this move their taxi squad consisted of:

2. QB Alex Tanney 
3. DB Dezmen Southward 
4. G Ben Heenan 
5. DE Josh Martin
6. LB Amarlo Herrera
7. DB Tay Glover-Wright
8. DE Earl Okine
9. WR Duron Carter
10. TE Erik Swoope

Wetzel, 24, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Oakland before catching on with the Cowboys mid-season.

Dallas elected to bring Wetzel back on a future/reserve contract in January, but he was released from their practice squad a few weeks ago.

Wetzel has yet to appear in an NFL game.
