The Indianapolis Colts announced the signing of RB Davin Meggett on Sunday.
- Indianapolis also placed linebacker Aaron Morgan on Injured Reserve.
This comes just a few days after the Colts lost RB Vick Ballard for the season after he suffered a torn Achilles tendon during Friday’s practice.
Meggett, 24, signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Maryland. He was previously with the Colts after he signed to their practice squad in December of 2012. However, Indianapolis would later waive him before the start of the 2013 season.
At Maryland, Meggett appeared in 50 games and ran for 2,469 yards on 485 attempts and 18 touchdowns.
