Colts Sign RB Trey Williams Off Dolphins’ PS, Place Griff Whalen & Billy Winn On I.R.

The Indianapolis Colts announced several roster moves on Monday including signing RB Trey Williams off of the Dolphins’ practice squad.

Williams, 22, wound up signing on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M a few days after this year’s NFL draft. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later added to their practice squad.

The Cowboys signed Williams off of the Redskins practice squad a few weeks ago before being waived and later claimed by the Patriots.

New England cut Williams loose last week before the Dolphins signed him to their practice squad.

Williams has yet to appear in an NFL game.
