The Indianapolis Colts announced Monday that they’ve signed safety Tray Matthews to their practice squad.
The Colts’ practice squad now consists of:
- WR Steve Ishmael
- WR Reece Fountain
- LB Ahmad Thomas
- G Sean Harlow
- QB Phillip Walker
- OT Rees Odhiambo
- RB Jonathan Williams
- TE Mo Alie-Cox
- DE Al-Quadin Muhammad
- SÂ Tray Matthews
Matthews, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Aurburn back in May before signing a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Vikings. He was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and later reverted to Minnesota’s injured reserve list.
The Vikings elected to waive Matthews with an injury settlement a few weeks later.
During his college career at Auburn, Matthews appeared in 36 games and recorded 181 tackles (105 solo), 4.5 tackles for loss, one sack, 11 pass defenses, four interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
