The Indianapolis Colts announced that they’ve signed RB Stevan Ridley to a contract on Sunday.
Ridley worked out for the Colts last week, and was one of the best available running backs, so this seems like a decent move for Indy to bolster their running back depth.
Ridley, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Patriots back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract before signing a one-year, $1.25 million contract with the Jets back in April of last year.
The Lions signed Ridley to a one-year contract this past April before he was cut on Thursday.
In 2015, Ridley ran for 90 yards on 36 carries (2.5 YPC) to go along with four receptions for -minus two yards receiving and no touchdowns.
