Colts Sign WR/KR Josh Cribbs

The Indianapolis Colts have signed veteran WR/KR Josh Cribbs to a contract on Tuesday, according to Zac Jackson of Fox Sports Ohio.

The Colts brought Cribbs in for a workout last week, so he was clearly on their radar as a potential addition.

Cribbs, 31, hadn’t found any reported interest in the past year before working out for Indy, but the Colts have clearly been looking for kick-return help in recent weeks.

Cribbs spent the first eight years of his career with Cleveland before joining the Jets last year. He wound up appearing in six games for New York and caught two passes for six yards to go along with 586 total return yards.

Unfortunately for Cribbs, he suffered a torn pectorals muscle and was later placed on season-ending injured reserve.
