Colts Signing Former VCU Basketball Player Mo Alie-Cox

Rob Demovsky is reporting that the Colts are signing former VCU basketball player Mo Alie-Cox to a contract on Thursday.

Alie-Cox visits with the Chiefs, Buccaneers, Jets, and Chargers and there were several teams in attendence for his Pro Day including Bears, Lions, Dolphins, Vikings, 49ers, Browns, Patriots, Redskins, Chiefs and Steelers.

According to Mike Garafolo, Alie-Cox measured 6-45 at 262 pounds to go along with 86 2/8 wing span, 11 1/8 hands, and 35 7/8 arms. He ran a 4.75 40-yard dash to go along with a 35.5 vertical, 10.2 broad jump, 4.45 shuttle and a 7.25 3-cone time.

Alie-Cox is making the transition to football as a tight end, but is not draft eligible this year, which means he was free to sign on with a team of his choosing right now.

During his four-year career at VCU, Alie-Cox totaled 1,092 points, 633 rebounds, 112 assists, 88 steals and 255 blocks over the course of 142 games.
