The Indianapolis Colts announced Monday that they’ve waived DE Sterling Bailey from their practice squad. This gives the Colts an open roster spot on the 10-man unit to sign a player in the coming days.
The Colts’ practice squad now consists of:
- ILBÂ Trevor Bates
- QB Stephen Morris
- TEÂ Mike Miller
- CBÂ Christopher Milton
- WRÂ Tevaun Smith
- TÂ Jeremy Vujnovich
- CB Frankie Williams
- LB Deiontrez Mount
- DB Lee Hightower
Bailey, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia back in May. He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason but was later signed to their practice squad.
During his college career, Bailey recorded 107 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and seven pass defenses.
