Colts Waive Four Players

The Indianapolis Colts announced that they have waived four players on Monday including: LB Alan Baxter, FB Stephen Campbell, TE Martell Webb and K Carson Wiggs.

There aren’t any significant names among this group.

Baxter, 23, signed a Reserve/Future contract with the Colts in January after he was first signed to the team’s practice squad last December. However, he has yet to play in an NFL game.

Campbell recently participated in the NFL super regional combine and was later signed to a contract. I’m sure he’s disappointed that he didn’t even get the chance to participate in the team’s training camp, but fullback is a tough position in terms of job security.

Webb, 24, signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan back in 2011 and has already spent time on seven NFL teams. The Colts signed him to Reserve/Future contract back in January.

Wiggs, 24, signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent of Purdue back in 2012 before joining the Colts a few months ago.
