Colts Waive G Blake Muir From I.R. With Settlement

The Indianapolis Colts officially waived G Blake Muir from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Tuesday.

Muir, 26, wound up going undrafted out of Baylor back in May of last year before signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the 49ers. He was waived as the 49ers trimmed their roster down to 53 players but signed on to Packers’  practice squad at the start of the season.

Unfortunately, Muir lasted just over a month in Green Bay before he was once again cut loose. The Falcons signed him to their practice squad in November and he returned to the team on a future/reserve contract a few months ago.

However, the Falcons elected to cut him loose in the days leading up to this year’s draft. The Colts signed him to a contract soon after he was waived with an injury designation a few weeks ago and later reverted to injured reserve.

Muir has yet to appear in an NFL game.
