Colts Waive RB Josh Ferguson From Injured Reserve

The Indianapolis Colts officially waived RB Josh Ferguson from injured reserve on Tuesday.

Ferguson, 25, wound up signing on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois back in 2016. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season, but was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason.

Ferguson was eventually waived from injured reserve with a settlement before returning to the Colts’ practice squad. He eventually finished out the 2017 season on their active roster after being promoted in October of last year.

Ferguson was waived, once again, with an injury designation during the preseason and later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list.

In 2017, Ferguson appeared in 10 games for the Colts and rushed for five yards on one attempt and no touchdowns. He also had three receptions for 16 yards (5.3 YPC) to go along with 86 kickoff return yards.
