Colts Waive WR Andre Debose, Sign WR Andrew Opoku

The Indianapolis Colts announced that they’ve waived WR Andre Debose and signed WR Andrew Opoku to a contract.

Debose is a former seventh-round pick of the Raiders last year. He lasted just over a month with the Raiders before he was waived with the injury designation and later placed on injured reserve where he remained for the duration of the 2015 season.

Oakland elected to cut him loose back in June. The Colts signed him to a contract a few weeks ago.

During his college career at Florida, Debose recorded 30 receptions for 540 yards receiving (18 YPR) to go along with four touchdowns. He also served as their kick and punt returner, totaling 2,531 yards and five touchdowns.

Opoku wound up going undrafted out of Delaware back in May of last year. He took part in the Ravens 2015 rookie minicamp on a tryout basis, but was not signed to a contract.

During his college career, Opoku appeared in 33 games at wide receiver and linebacker and totaled four receptions for 65 yards and one touchdown, 19 tackles (12 solo) and two fumble recoveries.
