The Colts officially waived TE Mike McFarland from their injured reserve list on Tuesday.
McFarland, 24, signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of South Florida a few days after the 2015 NFL draft. However, he was later waived with the injury designation a few weeks into the preseason and placed on injured reserve with a calf injury.
Houston wound up releasing him with a settlement a few months later. The Colts signed him to a contract but elected to cut him loose back in May.
McFarland reverted to the Colts’ injured reserve list after clearing waivers.
He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
