Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Colts recently brought in veteran’s OLB Victor Butler, S Winston Guy and S Ray Ventrone for workouts.
Butler, 27, signed a contract with the Cardinals two weeks ago, but was released just a few days ago.
The Saints signed Butler to a two-year, $3 million contract that included $1.5 million guaranteed last season, but was unfortunately among the Saints’ final roster cuts a few weeks ago as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.
Butler tore his ACL during offseason workouts last year and subsequently missed the entire 2013 season.
He spent the first four years of his career with the Cowboys after Dallas used a fourth-round pick on him during the 2009 draft.
Guy, 24, was last with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he was placed on waivers last week after theysigned S Craig Loston to their active roster Guy has appeared in all four of the Jaguars games this season and has recorded 14 tackles, one sack and a pass defensed.
