Colts Worked Out 3 Cornerbacks Including Stanley Jean-Baptiste

Howard Balzer reports that the Colts brought in three free agent cornerbacks for tryouts on Friday including Stanley Jean-Baptiste, D.J. Killings, and Tre Roberson.

Jean-Baptiste, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Saints back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in New Orleans before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the Lions’ practice squad.

The Seahawks signed him towards the end of the 2015 season and brought him back on a future/reserve contract. However, Seattle declined to tender him a contract as a restricted free agent this past March.

The Chiefs later signed him to a contract a few months ago before cutting him loose in June. The Jaguars signed him to a contract a month later before waiving him coming out of the preseason.

In 2014, Jean-Baptiste appeared in four games for the Saints, but didn’t record a single statistic.

Roberson, 24, wound up signing on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois State back in May of last year. He was waived coming out of the preseason and was on and off of the Vikings’ practice squad.

Roberson returned to the Vikings on a future/reserve contract this past January but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

Roberson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
