Colts Worked Out 7 Including LB James Vaughters & TE Darion Griswold

According to Howard Balzer, the Colts worked out seven players on Tuesday including TE Alex Bayer, TE Darion Griswold, RB David Cobb, WR Marcus Leak, CB Tevin Mitchel, LB Trevor Reilly, and LB James Vaughters.

Vaughters, 23, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in May of last year. However, he was unfortunately among the Packers roster cuts coming out of the preseason. Green Bay later signed him to their practice squad before cutting him loose with an injury settlement in October.

The Patriots elected to sign Vaughters to a future/reserve contract this past January but he was later placed on waivers shortly after this year’s draft.

Vaughters has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Griswold, 23, signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas State. Unfortunately, the Colts placed Griswold on the team’s active/PUP list along with DT Henry Anderson.

Indianapolis later waived him with an injury settlement back in August.

During his college career, Griswold recorded 65 receptions, 892 receiving yards (13.7 YPC), and scored nine touchdowns.
