Colts Worked Out Five Including DE Marcus Smith & WR Brian Quick

The Indianapolis Colts officially brought in five players for tryouts in recent days including DE Marcus Smith and WR Brian Quick, according to Howard Balzer.

The full list of tryouts for the Colts includes:

Smith, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Eagles back in 2014. The Eagles declined to pick up his fifth-year option last year and eventually cut him loose during the summer.

Smith signed a one-year contract with the Seahawks soon after and finished out the year in Seattle. He re-signed with the Seahawks this past offseason to a one-year contract worth up to $2.7 million, but was released during the preseason.

The Redskins signed Smith to a contract a few weeks ago only to cut him loose last week.

In 2017, Smith appeared in 14 games for the Seahawks and recorded 15 tackles, 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a pass defense.

Quick, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with the team and re-signed with Los Angeles to a one-year, $3.75 million deal.

After finishing his one-year deal, Quick signed on with the Redskins to another one-year contract last offseason. The Redskins re-signed him this past March only to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

Quick returned to Washington a few days later but was waived last month.

In 2018, Quick has appeared in six games and caught three passes for 18 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
