Colts Worked Out P Michael Palardy

Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star reported earlier today that the Colts worked out P Michael Palardy on Thursday.

According to Holder, the Colts’ decision to bring in Palardy was to get their kick returners familiar with catching kicks from a left-footed punter ahead of their match up against the Patriots.

With this in mind, it’s unlikely that they’ll sign Palardy to a contract at any point, barring an injury to Pat McAfee.

Palardy, 23, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee back in May of last year. He later caught on with the Raiders before signing a future/reserve contract with the Rams in January. Unfortunately for Palardy, he was among their final roster cuts.

During his college career, Palardy appeared in a total of 46 games, converting 37-of-50 (74%) of his field goal attempts to go along with 5,024 punting yards (42.9 average). 50 of his punts were downed inside the 20-yard line.
