Colts WR Austin Collie Out For The Year

Tom James of the Tribune-Star reports that Colts WR Austin Collie is out for the season after rupturing his patella tendon.

Collie headed into the season with constant questions of whether he could shake the concussion issues that have plagued his career in recent years. Now Collie won’t be able to prove those doubters wrong, as the team is expected to place him on the injured/reserved list.

In Collie’s absence, WR Donnie Avery has emerged as a viable target for QB Andrew Luck, so it would make sense for him to see more action in the coming weeks.
