This is an idea that has come up a few times now given that former Bengals DC Mike Zimmer is now the Vikings new head coach.
On Friday, Cincinnati HC Marvin Lewis told reporters that he’s optimistic that they will be able to reach an agreement on a long-term deal with Johnson before the start of free agency.
However, all indications thus far have pointed to Johnson playing elsewhere in 2014, even though the Bengals do have cap space to work with, so there remains at least a remote possibility that he could be back.
We have Johnson listed as the No. 8 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
